Aug 03My friends have always been a little bit more into video games than I have. Not to say that I don’t enjoy playing them because I enjoy them greatly. What I am saying is that my friends tend to follow all the video game news and releases. They are usually the first to try out new games and I tend to work off of their recommendations.
With that being said, I would like to talk a bit about the latest recommendation: LIMBO.
As usual I had never even heard of the game. I knew nothing about it except for the brief description that my buddy gave me. So when the weekend rolled around and I had some time on my hands, I decided to give it a shot.
LIMBO is a side scrolling/platform type game. In order to make your way through the game you must think creatively and exercise all of your problem solving skills. You have very limited controls so this game is very easy to pick up, even for non-gamers.
If you are familiar with a game called Braid, you will be very familiar with this type of game and have no trouble making your way through it. While it does provide some challenges, it could very easily be beat in less than a day.
Braid and now LIMBO are a different breed of game. Their simplicity is astounding, yet they are very enjoyable to play. If you’re looking for something to do, I would highly recommend LIMBO. If you enjoy that and are looking for more of a challenge, then I would suggest you check out Braid as well.
